Breast Lift
Treatment Overview
Breast lift surgery, also known as mastopexy, is an operation to remove excess loose skin from the breasts, lifting and shaping to give them a more youthful appearance.
The purpose of having a breast uplift in Marylebone, London is to make the breasts firmer and higher, with a more appealing shape. During a mastopexy, your skin and breast tissue (and most commonly the nipple too) are lifted and reshaped without adding any extra volume by means of an implant. This results in a natural breast which is perkier and sits on the chest with the nipple position lifted up.
Breasts naturally droop with age, because the skin and fibrous ligaments in the breast become stretched and are unable to offer the support they used to. The supporting fibrous ligaments can’t be replaced or restored, but the breasts can be reshaped by removing extra skin, remodelling the tissue, and moving the nipples to a higher position. Other options are to reduce the size of the areola (the darker skin around the nipple), or to have the breasts enlarged at the same time with Dr Ben Khoda in Marylebone.
